Mile High Meadow
Mile High Meadow, oil on canvas, 16” x 20”
I grew up in Bakersfield and Santa Cruz, California and lived in Ohio and New York before settling in Maryland outside of Washington, DC. I have a BA in Liberal Arts from Raymond College in Stockton, California and a MS in Mathematics from Ohio State University. Before I began my second career as an artist, I ran a consulting business as a vice-president for a major IT industry firm.

My artistic training has been through private classes and workshops. I’ve been fortunate to benefit from very talented teachers and artists. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Firouzeh Sadeghi, Ann Wallace, Walt Bartman, and Margaret Kranking. I’ve also found workshops with Skip Lawrence, Sean Dye, Bob Burridge, and Caroline Jasper to be truly inspirational.

I am the President of the Montgomery Art Association, the Treasurer for the Washington Metropolitan Artists’ Society (WMAS), and a member of a number of other artist associations.

My work has appeared in numerous group shows, including some that were juried and very competitive, and has also won awards. My paintings are in collections in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and across the country.
